Updating via USB drive

The panel’s USB port can be accessed by simply removing the four (4) front faceplate screws.
The USB port location is shown below protected by a water-tight rubber plug.

1. Preparation

Extract all the files contained in the USB Update Package (.zip) file to the root (top level) of an empty USB Stick which is formatted with FAT32.

2. Procedure

Verify unit is turned on. Insert the USB Stick into the USB Port of the unit and the update process will begin. There will be on-screen information during the update process. The update process may take up to 30 minutes to complete.

Please remove the USB Stick when prompted and the unit will automatically reboot into the new software.

3. Troubleshooting

During the update process, if the screen turns RED at any point after the BLUE screen has been shown this means that there were problems reading the information on the USB Stick. If this happens, the software update has not been applied. If this issue persists, please see “Recovery Update Procedure”

Please note: Some USB Sticks are not compatible with the unit. If the update does not install properly, please try a USB Stick from a different manufacturer. We have tested with all available USB Stick models from SanDisk and found all work without issues.

4. Recovery Update Procedure

Make sure the unit is fully disconnected from power then insert the USB Stick into the USB Port. Supply power while simultaneously holding down Button 1 and Button 5 .

The screen will turn BLUE and after a few seconds the update process will begin.

There will be on-screen information during the update process. Please remove the USB Stick when prompted and the target unit will automatically reboot into the new software.
